Savitri was recently enacted by artists in Aurangabad. The play that was staged at Govindrao Gune Sabhagruha of Aurangabad was played by actress Priya Jamkar beautifully justified the script.
She put a mesmerising performance which proved to be a treat for the Kolhapurians. The event was organised by Gayan Samaj Deval of Kolhapur that saw the life of Savitri though this play. To make sure such old plays are staged regularly, director Ravindra Lakhe attractively presented this show. The play was set up in the era between 1939 to 1947 which was anticipated through letters during olden times and this enacted by the actress. Theatre enthusiasts came in large numbers to watch this play and appreciated their talent by applauding them.
