Ladies of mahila mandal conduct tree plantation drive

While planting trees is the need of the hour, and to work towards the betterment of the environment, ladies of the

Maharshi mahila mandal

of Aurangabad joined in the

tree plantation

activity that held recently in the city. The ladies gathered at Maharshi chowk to plant trees and continued till Suthgirani chowk. The ladies planted around 500 trees in the complete stretch. They also planted some trees near the

dargah

on the same patch. The group planted trees that were of significance to the environment. Various trees such as

banyan

, neem, peepal etc. were planted along the road and were watered. They also took oath to take care of the plants until they are fully grown into trees. The event saw participation from ladies as well as senior citizens.
