Celebrating young artistes through cultural program
A classical dance evening enthralled the audience at Mahagami Gurukul near Cidco in Aurangabad when young talent presented classical dance performances under a new series named Nava Pallava. This new series of segment aims at creating a dance world and starting a movement against the exploitative ‘Pay and perform’ culture tormenting the world of Indian Classical Dances and raising voices against the corrupt practices within dance community.

An Odissi recital was presented by Paridhi Joshi from Bangalore. She presented Dhyayeth Suvarna Varna (Mangalacharan), Dhira Samire and Ardhanareeswar. A performance of Mohiniattam was put forth by Sangeetha Rajiv which included Navarasanjali, Varnam and Thillana under the patronage of Guru Parwati Dutta. The event provided a platform for promotion of young dancers, thus aiming at ensuring a brighter future for the dance heritage.
