Aura Aurangabad's concert sees Kathak performances
The Aura Aurangabad's sixth season took off successfully as various artistes presented their art forms in the city recently. The first concert under the Aura-Aurangabad series took place at Mahagami in Aurangabad that saw audience in large numbers. The dance concert series that is curated by Parwati Dutta tried to showcase Aurangabad’s heritage through Indian dance forms like Kathak.

The first concert took place on October 13 which is also going to take place on weekends. The first concert of the series commenced with Shiva stuti, ashtapadi, followed by taal vasant and kirvani tarana. There were performances on dhrupad that depicted Govardhan leela of Lord Krishna. The concert concluded with varna riti –an imaginative composition on the tradition of 'bol padhant'. All these compositions were curated by Guru Parwati Dutta. The dance program aimed at bringing our heritage monuments alive through depiction of legends and performances based on various aspects.
