It has been 200 years since the Ajanta caves were discovered in Aurangabad. The Ajanta Caves are 30 rock-cut Buddhist cave monuments located in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra. Hence to mark the 200 years of discovery, Malti Art Gallery near Kalda Corner held an exhibition that revolves around these famous caves and structures. Artiste Marotiraav Pimpre along with 11 other artists displayed various paintings and art of the caves. Though the caves have worn out, the artists have brought the beauty of these ancient caves through their artwork. Art lovers in the city made the most of the exhibition and also interacted with few artists during the event.
