An evening of Kathak to celebrate Guru Poornima

On the occasion of Guru Poornima, the students of Gurukrupa Kathak Academy in the city presented a dance program Anubandh - Nrutya Aradhana. Held at Tapadia Natya Mandir of Aurangabad, the event saw different hues of classical dance Kathak.
The dance program was inaugurated by Mayor Nandkumar Ghodle, from which the event began. The event commenced with Shri Krishna vandana performed by the young dancers of the academy.While the young students presented Adhram Madhuram, senior students put forth Jai Bahirav Shiv Shankar. The students of the dance academy also presented a recital on Hindu month Shravan with their expressive twirls and expressions. These and various dance forms on the season and Lord Krishna was presented in the Kathak form to which audience appreciated the dancers.
