With the series of classical dance in Aurangabad, several dancers across the country have visited the city that showcased their dancing talent before all. Under the concert series of Aura- Aurangabad, the 16 th edition saw
Sukanya Kumar from Mumbai and Aparna Sarma from
Kerala perform Bharatanatyam dance. Sukanya Kumar commenced her recital with Kali Kauthvam invocating Goddess Durga and describing her valour and magnificence through her dance.
This was followed by Natanam Aadinar, Year Rara and concluding the dance with Nindranda Mayil -a devotional piece that conveyed the bliss of Vrindavan with
Krishna as its hero.
While Sukanya Kumar from Mumbai aced the stage with her beautiful recital, it was Aparna Sarma’s turn to set the stage ablaze with her solo dance. She commenced her dance with Karunai Seididal Agaada Varnam that was an adaptation Karunai on Kapaleeshwara by Papanasam Sivan. She gracefully switched to the second act, Tridevi – a dance act on Goddess of Laxmi, Durga and Saraswati. It was coming together of grace, expressions and culture as these two young dancers outshined the dance concert.
