An ode to the ragas on a winter evening

Sitar legend Ustad Nishat Khan and Tabla maestro Pt Tanmoy Bose recently created magic at the final day of Victoria Memorial Hall Cultural Fest ’24 in collaboration with the Bengal Biennale. A drizzle couldn’t dim the show titled Evening Ragas, especially when a rainbow appeared as Khan’s sitar wove the soulful strains of raag Marwa. From raag Patdeep to renditions of Alo Amar Alo Ogo and Ogo Bideshini, the performance was a symphony of nature and heritage.
