A vibrant lineup awaits at Ooty Literary Festival 2025
The Ooty Literary Festival (OLF) 2025 is set to take place on March 14-15 at the Nilgiri Library, featuring over 40 distinguished speakers and a diverse lineup of discussions and performances. With the theme Where Stories Kindle the Mind, the festival promises to immerse attendees in a rich tapestry of ideas, culture, and narratives across various fields including film, politics, AI, poetry, sports, and history.
Key highlights include a keynote address by Dr Ganesh Devy, a debate on India's defense strategies, and discussions on the outcome of the 2024 elections. Notable speakers such as Mani Ratnam, Rajdeep Sardesai, Srikkanth Krishnamachari, and TM Krishna will lead sessions on storytelling, politics, and music. First-time authors will share their writing experiences, while poets Michael Creighton, Dion D'Souza, and Akhil Katyal will explore the power of poetry.
Day 2 will focus on India's future, with expert discussions on political and economic paths, the evolving role of AI, and leadership lessons from the 1983 Cricket World Cup. The festival will also highlight inspiring stories, including Deepa Malik’s journey in sports and resilience.
In addition to intellectual discourse, OLF 2025 will offer cultural experiences such as an Iyengar Yoga workshop, a session on gender and mental health, and Bhakti music collaboration, making it a celebration of stories, ideas, and culture.
