Bengaluru-based rapper and music producer, Akhil OSO
Bengaluru-based rapper and music producer, Akhil OSO, is harnessing the spirit of Independence Day to inspire unity among the youth. His upcoming track, Simon Go Back, aims to ignite patriotic fervour while emphasing the importance of togetherness among the younger generation.

“Our country is deeply divided, and people seem reluctant to engage with pressing issues. At the same time, I feel like this generation and the younger ones are losing their pride in being an Indian. together to overthrow the British Raj. I want the younger generation, especially, to understand that we come from a space of unity, not division,” he explains.
“What we fail to realise today, is that division was forced onto us. Today, there’s no reason to perpetuate that mindset. I hope to make people understand this and feel pride in the depths of the roots that we stand on today. The whole song is to just unify the country and also get them to learn about the struggles that we had faced before independence, and what it took for us to get to where we are today,” he shares.
