The ‘Bad Blood’ singer herself once showered praise on the ‘Jai Ho’ composer, calling him a "fantastic musician" whose music "touches the soul." In 2014, during an interview with Hindustan Times, the global pop star spoke about her admiration for Indian music legend AR Rahman. She said, "I have heard a lot about AR Rahman. I think he is a fantastic musician. His music touches the soul. I would love to hear him live in performance once."

The ‘Love Story’ singer also shared her excitement about Bollywood, praising its lively mix of music and dance. She said, "Indian cinema has a lot of music and dance, which excites me. I think Indians share a big passion for song and dance in the movies, which I love. It is a great way of connecting with the audience."

Although she wasn’t sure about acting in Bollywood due to the language barrier, Swift was open to lending her voice to an Indian film. She said, "I am not sure about acting since I don’t speak Hindi. But I would love to sing for a Bollywood movie."

She said, "I have heard a lot about the Taj Mahal, Kashmir, Delhi, and South India. I like historic monuments. They depict so much about a particular culture.
