In an official statement, YG Entertainment said that they have decided to delete all scenes involving the nurse outfit and will be replacing the music video with the edited version as soon as possible. Admitting that they were unable to predict the rise of such a controversy within the length of the video’s production, they also reassured that the alleged “sexual objectification” was not their intention whatsoever.



“We would like to deeply apologize to nurses who felt discomfort from this issue. And once again, we deliver our sincerest feelings of respect toward all healthcare workers devoting themselves to the wellbeing of our nation,” read the statement.


While the original video saw Jennie as a nurse treating a patient– herself - while rapping the lyrics, 'No doctor could help when I'm lovesick'., the new clip sees her only as a the latter.

The medical union claimed that the portrayal of the nurse dressed in a tight short dress, a hair cap and red high heels were “typical sexual” connotations. The record label, however, dismissed it saying the visuals matched the lyrics.

BLINKS weren’t too happy about these developments, and took to social media to slam the ‘mindset’ of the people and defend the video. However, on seeing that the video was already edited, they were quick to show the cingers their love.
