Sean “Diddy” Combs may get dragged back to the spotlight as a key witness in the upcoming murder trial of rap rival Tupac Shakur. Duane Davis, who is facing life in prison after being charged with the murder of rapper Tupac in 1996, believes Diddy could be one key voice in helping him walk free. Currently, Diddy is in jail after being found guilty on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution last year.

As per the New York Post, Duane Davis' lawyer is confident Diddy would support gang boss Davis’ defense that his multiple confessions to overseeing Tupac's death were all lies to achieve “fame and fortune.” The new twist has been confirmed by a family friend of Davis and his high-profile lawyer, Michael Pandullo, speaking exclusively to JDMC.

Prosecutors filed court evidence of a police interview tape featuring gang boss and ex-Diddy bodyguard Davis claiming Combs offered him one million dollars for the scalp of ‘Pac. On that tape Davis alleged that Diddy had promised him a huge payday for killing Shakur and even tried to chase after the money for a couple of years afterwards. That key recording has the defense lawyers of Davis, known on the streets as “Keefe D," eyeing up the New York music mogul in wrecking prosecutors’ arguments.

Davis’ high-profile lawyer, Michael Pandullo, believes Combs will call Keefe a liar and insists he invented all these claims. Pandullo, speaking exclusively, claims Diddy sticking to his guns on having no role in Tupac’s death would “weaken the prosecution’s case.”
