The White House says ‘we won't apologize’ after Sabrina Carpenter condemns them for using ‘Juno’ in ICE raid video
Recently, the White House shared a video compilation on its social media account featuring ICE raid footage. The video was backed by one of Sabrina Carpenter’s most popular songs, ‘Juno.’ While at the time, the singer had immediately called them out and shared how against her it was to have her music used without permission in such a manner. Now, White House representatives have officially released their statement on the matter.
The last line of the statement was also a direct reference to a lyric from the singer’s song ‘Manchild.’
In her comment, the singer shared, “This video is evil and disgusting. Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.” The comment garnered a lot of attention from fans as well as netizens online, who had applauded the ‘Espresso’ singer for taking a stand. One person had commented, “Hit them with that Copyright Strike Queen !!!!!!!,” while another shared a comment that read, “Proud to support an artist who uses her platform to support vulnerable, marginalized, and demonized groups of people with her voice and charitable efforts.”
Many other artists have called out the administration for using their songs without permission. This includes names like Pharrell, Johnny Marr, Rihanna, Ozzy Osbourne, Nickelback, Linkin Park, and many others.

The White House responds after being hit with backlash over the raid compilation video
After the video was shared online on their accounts, the White House and the Donald Trump administration were hit with a lot of backlash. Following all of this, as per Entertainment Weekly, a representative of the legal body shared an official statement. They shared that, “Here's a Short n' Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: we won't apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”The last line of the statement was also a direct reference to a lyric from the singer’s song ‘Manchild.’

On December 2, a video compilation of some of the raids that ICE has carried out in America was posted, with Carpenter’s song ‘Juno’ playing in the background. Other celebrities who faced the same issue
Carpenter joins a long list of artists who have called out the White House on multiple occasions over the non-consented use of their songs in their videos. Kenny Loggins had also called them out in October of this year after they used his song ‘Danger Zone’ in a video made with AI technology. The video consisted of the US President Trump riding in a jet that read ‘King Trump’, all the while wearing a crown. He had posted a statement on his official website at the time, which had read, “Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately. I can’t imagine why anybody would want their music used or associated with something created with the sole purpose of dividing us...”Many other artists have called out the administration for using their songs without permission. This includes names like Pharrell, Johnny Marr, Rihanna, Ozzy Osbourne, Nickelback, Linkin Park, and many others.
