Named after a now defunct movie theatre in Kolkata, this band's music is reminiscent of the quintessential 90s kid's life in India. And isn't that bound to happen when, besides seeking inspiration from Red Hot Chilli Peppers, System of a Down, Jamiroquai, The Police, one is widely influenced by Bappi Lahiri, Ramsay Brothers, Kumar Sanu, shiny objects and a few other intangible items (in no particular order)? The four-member band comprises

Suyasha Sengupta

(vocalist), Ronodeep Bose (guitarist),

Roheet Mukherjee

(bassist) and Sambit Chatterjee (drummer).

> It's about music, Bollywood movies and random song-and-dance
Brainchild of Roheet and Suyasha, the band was formed in late 2010 as an outlet for their unabashed love for Bollywood, kitsch and original music. 'We believe in music, Bollywood movies and random song-and-dance. While trying to mix the first two, the third bit is automatically for the audience,' says Suyasha.

> Inspiration for music-n-lyrics
A blend of alt-rock, reggae, ska and pop in a funky, twisted brew peppered with influences culled from cinema, the end result is a quirky Bollywood number. With some amount of cynical undertones to their tunes, and lyrics that use commonly used terms ' namely, Item Song, Wonder Woman, Raju Banega Gentleman, Brother From Another Mother among others ' they are high on drama. As Suyasha puts it, their music is 'by the common man, for the common man'.

> On the band's playlist:
  • 'Acetate' - Metz
  • 'Relaxed Lizard'- Soft Hair
  • 'Vitamin C' - Can
  • 'Anemone' - Brian Jonestown Massacre
  • 'Beautiful Thing' - The Stone Roses
