Solar Power
' on Friday, her first track in four years. The music video comes just days after she made the big announcement on her official website.
The song is proving to be the perfect summer track with its fun, flirty and chill vibes. While the song is lead on with Lorde's soothing voice and upbeat tunes, it is the video that makes you want to pack your bags and head out to a tropical summer retreat.

Lorde penned a letter to her fans and revealed the meaning behind her third studio album saying, “'Solar Power' is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalizing the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors… This is what came through.”
The 24-year-old singer-songwriter went on to explain, “There’s someone I want you to meet. Her feet are bare at all times. She’s sexy, playful, feral, and free. She’s a modern girl in a deadstock bikini, in touch with her past and her future, vibrating at the highest level when summer comes around. Her skin is glowing, her lovers are many. I’m completely obsessed with her, and soon you will be too.”
The star also revealed that she made the album, the cover art and music video with the help of her friends in
