However, some of the stars have confirmed that they will be singing on stage for the 20,000 public and special invitees who will be attending the event. BBC is orchestrating the show for this new chapter in the nation’s history and will celebrate themes of love, optimism and respect for the island kingdom, its communities and the Commonwealth nations that formed its colonies.

Some of the stars who will be performing at the event include Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. The latter said in a statement that, “The Coronation Concert is a once-in-a-lifetime event and it will be an honour and a celebration”.

Andrea Bocelli will be singing duets with opera singer Sir Bryn Terfel and the British groups Take That and the Spice Girls are also expected to perform at the event. Freya Ridings and Alexis Ffrench will also be singing.
