Sabrina Carpenter shares excitement about Coachella 2026: “Most ambitious show I’ve ever done”
Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter returns to Coachella as a headliner, two years after her debut performance of 'Espresso'. With seven months dedicated to planning her most ambitious show yet, the Grammy winner is set to captivate audiences alongside other major artists. This marks a significant U.S. comeback following her successful 'Short n' Sweet' tour.
Sabrina Carpenter is that pop girl who turned a coffee order into a global anthem. The 26-year-old Grammy winner has been ruling charts with her witty, infectious hits – from 'Espresso' to the entire 'Short n' Sweet' album. She first stepped onto the Coachella stage in 2024, the very same day she performed 'Espresso' for the first time. Now, two years later, she's back as a headliner. Alongside Justin Bieber, Karol G, and Anyma, Carpenter will take over the Indio desert on April 10 and 17 with what she calls her most ambitious show yet.

Seven months of planning

In a fresh cover story interview with Perfect magazine, Carpenter shared just how different this prep has been. "It's the most ambitious show I've ever done," she explained. "It's probably the most time I've ever had to actually just sit down and talk about a show as I'm building it." The 'House Tour' musician continued, "Most of the time, you're really quickly thrust into physical rehearsals, but this time around, we started this process around seven months ago. So it's been a long journey. It will be very special."Seven months of sitting and planning – that's a rare luxury in pop star rehearsal timelines.
She's clearly leaving nothing to chance.

That full-circle Coachella feeling

Carpenter then got reflective about her 2024 debut. "That was a really special day for me, the day my song 'Espresso' came out. I got to play that for the first time at Coachella," she said. "And now, two years later, we're back." She added, "And I think that's what makes this show feel really, really surreal: getting to celebrate all the songs that have come after it, and just how many lives they've lived since they've come out."From playing a fresh single to headlining with a catalogue of hits, that's the kind of journey fans love to witness.

Big U.S. comeback

Earlier this week, Carpenter dropped the music video for her Man's Best Friend single 'House Tour.' The clip features Madelyn Cline and Margaret Qualley, who also co-directed the video alongside Sabrina herself. This Coachella performance is her first significant U.S. performance since the conclusion of the 'Short n Sweet' Tour in November 2025, after 72 shows
