London

The 71-year-old 'Maggie
May
' hitmaker admitted he was 'gutted' when had to pull a Tuesday night show at the O2 Arena at late notice, and now he has scrapped two more gigs, which had been due to take
place
at the same venue on Friday and Saturday, says reports.
A statement reads "We are sorry to announce that the
Rod
Stewart shows at The O2 this week are having to be rescheduled due to a throat infection. "Doctors have advised further rest before resuming the tour at
Sheffield Arena
on 29th November in full health." The concerts had been booked as part of his From
Gasoline Alley
to Another Country Hits 2016 tour.
Tuesday's show is now rescheduled for December 12, but fans who had plans to attend this weekend's postponed dates will have to wait until late February to catch Rod in concert. Tickets for the affected gigs remain valid for the new dates.
