Jack White talks about his opinions on Taylor Swift’s music
Taking to his social media handle, White officially addressed his past comments about Taylor Swift and her music, citing that he “didn't say that I think Taylor Swift's music was 'boring' or whatever clickbait the net is trying to scrape together. What I was trying to say in an interview I did about poetry and lyric writing, was that I don't find it interesting at all for ME to write about MYSELF in my own lyric writing and poetry because I think it could be repetitive for ME.”He further shared that he has respect for other artists who have established themselves in the music industry in their own way. More about Jack White’s past comment about Taylor Swift’s music
While talking to The Guardian recently, White was asked about his music style and the way of songwriting. In response, he shared that he often did not get how people write about their private experiences so extensively in songs. He had stated, “Now it’s become very popular in the Taylor Swift way of pop singers writing about all of their publicly aired break-ups, which I don’t find interesting at all. I think it’s a little bit boring for me to write about myself.”Further clarifying what worked for him as an artist, he added at the time that, “If it’s something really painful, I’m not going to put this important, painful thing that I went through out there for some idiot on the internet to stomp all over.”Get the latest entertainment updates from the Times of India, along with the latest Hindi movies, upcoming Hindi movies in 2026 , and Telugu movies.”

Nothing wrong in that and no need to. apologize to her touchy fans about it! No harm done or disrespect here simply an opinion on songwriting and personal issues being used in songwriting! Why are people so upset by that?? Whatever waste of your time having to reiterate what you meant etc....Read allPost comment
