Paul McCartney has compared global pop sensation
Taylor Swift’s fame to the immense popularity enjoyed by The Beatles during the height of Beatlemania in the 1960s.
The music legend said he can clearly see similarities between Taylor’s worldwide success and the global attention his iconic band once received.
Paul McCartney draws comparison with The Beatles’ fame
Speaking during an appearance on Tracks Of My Years, Paul said, “You do see the parallel, you know the fame and the amount of fame and the worldwide fame that Taylor Swift has and that we had.”
The legendary bassist added that Swift has reached a level of stardom achieved by only a handful of artists across generations.
During the interaction, McCartney also said that despite his decades of experience in the music industry, he does not believe Taylor needs advice from anyone.
“I don't think she needs any advice to tell you the truth. If she asked for it, I definitely would. I'm like the older brother to that generation, or more like the granddad, actually,” he said.

Paul McCartney also shared that he met the Cruel Summer singer at a party hosted by his wife Nancy Shevell and daughter Stella McCartney.
According to him, the gathering included several younger music stars, including Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo.
“There was Taylor, there was Billie Eilish, there was Olivia Rodrigo, you know they're really cool people, they're very good,” he said.
The singer-songwriter also praised the younger generation of artists for their talent and musical abilities.
“I like their voices. If they need any advice, yeah, I would be happy to give it, but I don't think they do,” he added.
