Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, the co-founder of the Oasis band, announced that he would be taking a break from the concert gigs at a couple of pit stops, as he has been recovering from cancer treatments. Earlier this year, the 60-year-old musician was diagnosed with prostate cancer; now, he has been recovering positively.
Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs will not be joining
In an Instagram post, Arthurs wrote a heartening note about taking a planned break for his next phase of care. “I’ll be missing the gigs in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, and Sydney. I’m really sad to be missing these shows but I’m feeling good and will be back ready to go in time for South America,” he said in his social media post, adding that he will join the band in November.
Talking about his health, the ‘Stand by Me’ singer added, “The good news is I’m responding really well to treatment, which meant I could be part of this incredible tour.” He kindly asked the concertgoers to have an amazing time if they were going this month, and ended the statement with his signature, ‘Bonehead. X’ The band also shared the post on their official account on their story, and wrote, “Wishing you all the best with your treatment @boneheadspage — we’ll see you back on stage in South America.”
About the 'Oasis' tour
For the unversed, The Oasis Live’25 World Tour began on July 4 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The concerts marked a heartfelt moment as the band reunited after 2009 and multiple disagreements. Arthurs will be joining the band on November 15 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the tour will end on November 23 at Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo, Brazil.
