Pop/Dance: For an artiste who tasted fame when she was barely a kid, to have reached the heights of stardom unprecedented for her expectations and followed by a fairly public breakdown amidst a sea of relationship issues, Britney has come a long way indeed. It is indeed surprising she has come out with an album that's actually glossy and good. To be sure, there's nothing remarkable about her voice, which only hits middle registers (unlike Mariah Carey's soprano and say, a Christina Aguilera's breathy, sultry lower ranges) she isn't as adept a hotstepper as Shakira or a JLo, but somehow, the whole is more than the sum of its parts in this case. In all her autotuned glory, complete with her hyper-sexual femininity, Glory is chock full of radio-friendly unit shifters. These include ' for want of a better word ' undeniably catchy tracks like 'Make Me', 'Love Me Down', 'Slumber Party', and 'Private Show'. 'Slumber Party', incidentally, is delightfully reminiscent of her early R'n'B tracks. The less said the better for the lyrics though, as she seems to try a tad too hard with the whole sexual shtick : ('Pull my curtains until they close'; 'Boy watch me work it/ slide down my pole watch me spin it and twerk it'). But by and large though, she was born to perform on stage and all of the tracks in here lend themselves to glamorous stage performances. The opening

track

' 'Invitation' ' also showcases her better aural moments. It's easy to see why her fans will surely like it.
