Witness five-time Grammy Award winner Buddy Guy along with international blues musicians Quinn Sullivan, Doyle Bramhall II with Rich Robinson of the Black Crowes, Nikki Hill, Danish singer Thorbjorn Risager and the Black Tornado in Mumbai this weekend. The star-studded line-up will make multiple stages at Bandra’s Mehboob Studios reverberate with an immersive experience for the fifth edition of Mahindra Blues Festival on February 14 and 15.
Guy is a much-loved face, who was a key influence for artistes like Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He’ll be returning to the stage for the third year, this time with 15-year-old blues prodigy Quinn Sullivan.
Doyle Bramhall II is an American blues musician known for his work with Eric Clapton, Roger Waters and his own band Arc Angels. Guitarist Warren Mendonsa will bring a dash of Indian flavour with a special set while some students will present a True School Blues Experience.
