Miley Cyrus, the ‘Used To Be Young’ singer, flaunts her relationship with her 27-year-old boyfriend, Maxx Morando, in front of her sister and mother during the podcast. Miley's sister highlighted the fact that they are in a relationship with someone younger than them, and the three of them gave their insights into beautiful relationships.
The Cyrus Clan and their partners
Miley(36) has been dating Maxx(27) since 2022, whereas her sister, Brandi Cyrus(38), has been dating Matt Southcombe, who is 36. Their mother, Tish Cyrus(58), is married to actor Dominic Purcell, who is three years younger.
In a Thursday episode on June 19, 2025, on “Sorry We’re Cyrus,’ Miley joined in as a guest on Brandi and Tish’s podcast. Referencing the age differences between their relationships, Brandi quipped, “What does it say about the three of us that, technically, we are all cougars?”
“[It says] so many things,” Miley said, before adding, “Am I the landslide? … [Maxx] will be 27 when I turn 33, which I’m so excited for him to turn 27 ‘cause that was such a great year for me. I’m just hoping that, as long as he follows in my footsteps, everything is going to be great. That’s right, when I started turning my life around,” according to People.
Tish, who was previously married to Billy Ray Cyrus, confessed that she never had a thought in her mind about being older than her husband, but was open to hearing about Brandi’s perspective.
The 58-year-old asked, “Wait, you and Matt, at some point, [will you be] the same age?”
“'Cause it’s only a year,” she added. Matt Soutcombe, who was present off-camera, quipped that he is 36, and hence, Brandi and he won’t ever be of the same age. As a response, Tish added that the age difference with her husband sometimes is only of 2 years because of their birthdays.
