Lana Del Rey, the Grammy-nominated singer has finally quit social media. She treated her fans to a photograph of herself with a butterfly perched on her nose and wrote on her Instagram account this weekend: “Thank you so much for everything.” She continued: “Now that Rob’s record is out and now you know where I’m touring this account is closing. Good Luck and love u.”
Rob, for the record is her Dad and his new album, Lost at Sea was released last week. There is a song by Lana too in the album, and it’s called Hollywood Bowl.
This is not the first time that the celebrity singer has gotten off social media. She did the same in 2021 after some controversies sprang up with her fans on social media. They had accused her of using a mesh mask during the pandemic at her book signing and had been upset when she spoke against some other music stars.
Just two weeks ago, Taylor Swift had released a song with Lana Del Rey on YouTube, titled Snow on the Beach. The song is part of Swift’s Midnights album and ever since its debut it has had more than 42 lakh views.
Her song with her father, Lost at Sea has been described by her fans as “haunting and angelic”.
