Lady Gaga to star opposite Bradley Cooper in 'A Star Is Born'

Songstress Lady Gaga has bagged the lead role opposite Hollywood star Bradley Cooper in the upcoming remake of 1937 film 'A Star Is Born'.
The good news for 30-year-old Gaga doesn't end here as it has been announced that the Golden Globe Award winner will compose and perform new music for the film, reported Deadline.

Her character's name is kept under wraps, but she will star as the ingenue singer whose career rises as quickly as her troubled lover/mentor's career is fading.It will be the Golden Globe Award winner's first starring role in a major studio feature and Cooper's directorial debut.
The 1937 romantic drama, directed by William A Wellman and starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, centered on a troubled movie star who helps an aspiring young actress find fame.
