With the undertone of a somber tune and theme of introspection, the songwriter awaits to channel a cinematic masterpiece with the country genre for his fourth studio album. The masterstroke in the album? Sutherland starts with the sorrowful tunes and ends with a brighter hope by the end. Consisting of 10 songs, Sutherland's album has a song titled ‘Simpler Times,’ which reminds one of what it was like to grow up in better times. “I don’t have a computer. I work with people who have computers. So, I have access to it,” he said in an interview with BBC Breakfast, before adding that he doesn’t answer 300 emails after he goes home.However, the song was inspired by watching his children and grandchildren grow up. “I was just really reflecting on how lucky I felt that I was to have had a different experience,” he stated, continuing with the idea of going out at 9 in the morning on weekends to play with kids and be home by 6 in the evening for dinner, while everything else was just made up.

However, after their divorce in 1971, he moved to Canada with his mother and his twin sister, Rachel, according to Britannica. He ventured into films, debuting alongside his father in ‘Max Dugan Returns’ in 1983. Starring in multiple films like ‘The Lost Boys’ and ‘Young Guns,’ he became a critically acclaimed, established actor. Before ‘Grey,’ he released three albums titled ‘Blood Street,’ ‘Reckless & Me,’ and ‘Down in a Hole.’
