Justin Bieber settles with Scooter Braun; the 'Baby' singer scores a win - Deets Inside
Justin Bieber, the ‘Baby singer, has released his seventh studio album ‘SWAG’ without any hints or glimpses in between his controversial behaviour on social media. While the announcement came as a shock to his fans, the Bieber family must be relieved after the day ended in much more than a grand release.
According to TMZ, Justin and his former manager, Scooter Braun, have finally shaken hands on settlements. Years after allegations and audits, the two have agreed on the bills that have been tallied. The result is a win for the singer as Scooter is settling for pennies over dollars.
The terms stated that Bieber should repay the $26 million, which he owed as part of the advance he got from AEG for the ‘Justice’ Tour. Now, he made good on the debt in addition to the other one. Justin allegedly owed him millions of dollars for the unpaid commissions that had piled up over the years, which were cut in half.
During the ‘Justice’ tour, the ‘Sorry’ singer received a $40 million amount in advance from AEG, but he did not perform the rest of the tour. AEG asked the singer to repay the $26 million from the advance. As Bieber couldn’t, Braun’s company, Hybe, decided to step up and pay in the agreement that the singer would repay over the course of 10 years.
However, Justin gave only one payment and stopped. Meanwhile, as the accusations arose, Braud said that Justin owed him $11 million from the unpaid commissions over the years, which were cut in half.
Meanwhile, the pop star dropped his ‘SWAG’ album on July 11, with guest features by Gunna, Sexxy Red, Cash Cobain, Lil B, Eddie Benjamin and more. Bieber seems to really stand on business, considering it is also one of his track titles. The album is supposed to be darker, vulnerable, and raw – but not depressing, according to People.
