It was a case of India shinning at the 57th Grammy Awards. Bengaluru-based musician Ricky Kej won the Best New Age Album trophy for his album, Winds Of Samasara, that he composed with South African flautist Wouter Kellerman.
Another Indian, Neela Vaswani, also bagged a Grammy in the Best Children’s Album category for I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up For Education And Changed The World (Malala Yousafzai).
She narrated the audio version of the book.

Sam Smith who were also nominated in that category. He also won Best Rock Album, beating
Ryan Adams and U2 to the game. Interestingly, as Beck was on stage to accept his award,
Kanye West almost reprised his past interruption of
Taylor Swift at an awards show, but backed out. Another big winner was newcomer English singer-songwriter Sam Smith who swept four major awards — Best New Artist, Song Of The Year, Record Of The Year for his hit Stay With Me and Best Pop Vocal Album.
