Yamuna Sangarasivam's audition story for Michael Jackson's 'Black or White' video song

She said, “There was a call for a Michael Jackson video audition, and they told me, ‘You should come with us.’ I was unsure — I thought, since my background is in very traditional classical dance, I didn’t know if it would fit into a Michael Jackson video. That evening, I spoke to my parents and said, ‘Daddy, I don’t know whether I should do it.’ But Amma said, ‘Chella, darling, you should absolutely go for this audition,’” she laughed, adding that this encouragement led her to audition.
