Cardi B, who is pregnant with her third child, is addressing the rumours swirling around the name she has allegedly chosen for the child.

The speculation began after a fan account posted an image from Cardi's sonogram with the caption, "Cardi shares ultrasound pic of baby 'Hurricane'"

Word quickly spread that the musician is set to pick the rather unusual name for the baby on its arrival. However, the 31-year-old rapper quickly shut down the rumours by replying with a simple “Who???” followed by a crying emoji.


The star's reaction to the post has seemingly made it clear that 'Hurricane' is not on the table for her baby's name. The humorous exchange continued as fans joking with the rapper saying, "Cardi didn’t you know, the public gets to name celebrity babies now. It’s law!”

Another posted, “Are you learning what your child’s name is gonna be from Twitter?"

Earlier that day, Cardi had shared the sonogram image on Instagram, alongside glamorous photos showcasing her baby bump as she posed on a motorcycle. "I wanna meet my little boo boo soo bad already,” she captioned the post.



The rapper, who filed for divorce from her husband Offset, was seen meeting up over the weekend to celebrate their son Wave’s third birthday. Despite their ongoing divorce proceedings, the couple appeared amicable at the airplane-themed party. Offset shared snippets of the celebration on his Instagram Story, while Cardi posted a video of the father-son duo enjoying the festivities.

Cardi, who filed for divorce from Offset in August, is seeking primary custody of their two children, Wave and six-year-old Kulture. The divorce filing also confirmed that Offset is the father of her third child.
