Harry Styles drops new song ‘Aperture’: Features techno pop sounds in single from upcoming album

A week ago, former One Direction member Harry Styles shared a series of photos, along with the announcement. He had shared that he is going to be making his big comeback in the music scene! Now, from his upcoming album ‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’, Styles has dropped the first look with his latest single, ‘Aperture.’

On January 23, the famed artist released his first solo song in almost three years. He last dropped the single ‘Satellite’ in 2023. Styles wrote the song along with famous producer and composer Kid Harpoon, while Ellie Roswell provided backing vocals for the song, and the House Choir Gospel accompanied them.

‘Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally’, has been mainly worked upon by Kid Harpoon, who also worked on his 2022 album ‘Harry’s House.’

The song features a slower-paced tone than what the singer has put out in the past few years with his solo albums. It features under the lo-fi techno beat and focuses on the artist going back to what he loves the most.

Three days ago, the ‘Watermelon Sugar’ singer announced that he will be releasing the first lead single from his upcoming album on January 23. He had taken to his social media to post a photo of himself in the studio wearing a simple white shirt while featuring a big smile, while throwing his hands up in the air. He posted the photo along with the caption “Aperture. Jan. 23, 00:00 U.K.”

Harry Styles announces his residency

Beyond all of this, the singer also announced his 30-night residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden. The residency is a part of his upcoming tour titled ‘Together, Together tour’ that starts off on May 16. He will tour across 7 countries and will also have a lot of guest appearances and opening artists on his tour.

After One Direction went on hiatus, Harry Styles released his first solo song ‘Sign of the Times’ in April 2017.
