American hard rock band Guns N' Roses was detained by Canadian authorities after a weapon was found among their luggage. The band's frontman, Axl Rose, recounted the story to the jam-packed crowd at Toronto's Rogers Centre Saturday night, July 16. According to Rose, they were detained at the border for gun possession, reported Aceshowbiz.

"We weren't exactly arrested, we were detained," the rocker opened up on stage.

"They were very nice," he said of the authorities. "They were very understanding. You know, it happens -- you can forget you had a gun." He then added with a shrug, 'Wasn't my gun.'

A representative for the band confirmed the incident but claimed the weapon didn't belong to any member of the band. "Yes, this indeed happened on Friday, July 15, as they were crossing the border coming from the Philadelphia tour stop on the 14th," the rep said.
