Although she won a Grammy Award for her collaborative single Clarity, with this album, Foxes sounds like she’s trying a bit too hard to make a mark in the female contemporary pop scene.
But lest she be known as a one-hit wonder, she sounds like a mix of Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Katy Perry. The album itself sounds like a collection of singles rather than a body of work with a proper flow.

Talking To Ghosts is a worthy introduction, with its bounding drums and scattershot electronics. Youth starts off with a low bassline after being embellished by wind instruments and a steady beat. Things then take a slower turn with the ballad Holding Onto Heaven that also packs in a big chorus. White Coats can best be described as alt-pop, featuring some synths, while title track Glorious starts off slowly and builds up to a loud finale.

The best track however, would be Let Go For Tonight. On the whole, the album sounds far too polished and bland. Save just one or two songs in here, the others unfortunately just don’t leave much of a lasting impression.
