Doja Cat Doesn't Worry About Music Leaks: ‘There’s Nothing I Can Do About It’

Doja Cat's highly anticipated album, "Scarlet 2: Claude Frollo," has been leaked just days before its official release date. Despite the premature circulation of her five new songs, Doja Cat seems unfazed, expressing indifference towards the situation. This nonchalant response contrasts sharply with SZA's recent decision to scrap an entire LP after it was leaked prematurely.

“What does it mean when someone leaks an album why do people get upset?” the 28-year-old star asked on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday (April 3), to which fans explained that it leads to a negative effect on streaming numbers. “But I don’t care,” Doja wrote.

Another fan using the username @DearOldDoja went on to explain, “I mean it’s lowkey disrespectful if you set a date and people are dropping it early w/o permission.”

Doja agreed and respoded, “No its definitely messed up cuz i wanted to put it out myself but theres nothing i can do about it!! thats just how its gonna be but at least i can just keep being creative and look forward to the awesome things i have coming up!!”

Following a leak of the deluxe edition of her 2023 album "Scarlet," the singer of "Agora Hills" shares her thoughts. Earlier this week, Doja released a teaser for the project titled "Scarlet II: Claude Frollo," announcing its arrival on Friday, April 5th.
About Doja Cat
Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, professionally known as Doja Cat, hails from Los Angeles and has established herself as an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Her musical journey began during her teenage years when she started creating and sharing music on SoundCloud. Notably, her track "So High" drew the attention of Kemosabe and RCA Records, leading her to sign a recording contract before the release of her debut extended play, "Purrr!" in 2014.

Although her debut studio album, "Amala," faced a quiet release and a break from music, Doja Cat skyrocketed to viral fame with her 2018 single "Mooo!" - a playful, meme-worthy song where she humorously portrays herself as a cow. Leveraging this newfound popularity, she dropped her second studio album, "Hot Pink," the following year. This album not only secured a spot in the top ten of the US Billboard 200 but also produced the hit single "Say So," whose remix featuring Nicki Minaj reached the summit of the Billboard Hot 100.
