will inherit USD 25 million on her 25th birthday. The rock icon lost his battle with cancer in January at the age of 69, and on Tuesday it was revealed the 'Fame' hit maker had put aside USD 25 million for each of his two children, reported New York Daily News.

Veteran estate and probate lawyer Peter Valente was appointed Alexandria's legal guardian at the request of her mother during a hearing in Manhattan Surrogate Court in New York.

Bowie's death on January 10 this year sent shock waves through the entertainment industry and he has been honoured with tribute performances at recent awards shows, including the Oscars and the Grammys, when Lady Gaga performed a medley of his biggest hits.

Pop star Lorde also honoured Bowie at the BRIT Awards in London days later with a rendition of 'Life on Mars'.
