Cher reflects on her heartbreak with Val Kilmer and criticizes late director Peter Bogdanovich

Now 78 and dating Alexander "AE" Edwards, who is nearly 40 years her junior, Cher looked back on her past romance with Kilmer. The two dated between 1982 and 1984, despite their 13-year age difference. During a chat with Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show, Cher said that she was deeply in love with Kilmer but shared that he ended their relationship.

When Stern asked, “Who would ever leave you?” Cher responded, “Few men but a couple.” She explained that, despite their strong chemistry and deep connection, some relationships simply run their course. She added that Kilmer was relatively young at the time, which might have influenced his decision to move on.
