Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles files for divorce from husband Richard Lawson: Report

Tina Knowles, the mother of superstar Beyonce, is reportedly ending her eight-year marriage to actor Richard Lawson.

According to a report on TMZ, court papers revealed that Tina has filed for divorce and listed the date of separation as Tuesday. She has cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. She has also reportedly terminated the court’s ability to award spousal support to her or Richard.



Tina and Richard tied the knot in April 2015. After the wedding, it was reported that Tina changed her name to Celestine Lawson, but following the divorce proceedings, she wants to have her named restored to Celestine Knowles.

While Tina and Richard didn't have any children together, the beauty has two daughters - Beyonce and Solange - with her first husband, Mathew Knowles.
