Making the generous donation, the rapper said, "I am calling on my fellow musicians, actors, entertainers and all others who may not have fully considered this cause to join together to help in any way they can."
The news of his big money cheque emerges as
50 Cent continues to work out his bankruptcy troubles, after declaring himself broke in a Connecticut court last summer.
