2026 Grammys: Coco Jones shares wedding planning update; Says, 'It's an indescribable feeling'

Coco Jones is sharing a sweet update about her wedding plans and she is doing it with a big smile. She spoke about it at the 2026 Grammys. For her the whole thing feels new but also very exciting.

Coco is 28 now and she got engaged to Donovan Mitchell in July 2025 after dating for two years. The couple has always kept their relationship mostly private.

She says planning a wedding feels new

The 'Here We Go' singer told PEOPLE that the engagement process has been "amazing," but the wedding planning part is very different for her. She says it is "definitely so new."




Coco explains that she has worn many pretty dresses before for work and she has planned events for her job. The singer says this feeling is nothing like that.

Coco says, "I've worn dresses, and I've planned events and all of those things before in my job, but this is like an indescribable feeling to be planning a whole wedding." She also adds, "It's amazing. I'm really excited." You can tell she is enjoying the experience even though it is a new kind of work.

She wants the wedding to be very intimate

Coco shares that she wants the wedding to be small and very close to her heart. She says she hopes it will be "intimate."

The singer says, "I really want the festivities to be intimate." Coco then talks about how she felt like this even when she was little.

"Like, ever since I was a little girl. I knew I was going to be this performer, but I really wanted that moment to be just for me, me, not about views or clicks or sales."

Coco was asked if she had any non-negotiables for the big day. She answered very quickly. She says, "I need my glam to be sickening." She wants to feel her best and she wants everything simple but perfect in her own way.

Coco wants a safe and warm feeling

Coco explains that a small and private wedding will help her feel calm and open with her feelings. She says the intimate moment will let her "feel really safe" and help her be "vulnerable with all the people around." She wants only the closest people there so the day feels gentle and warm. It seems she wants love to be the biggest part of the day.

Her engagement was announced in 2025

Coco and Donovan announced their engagement in July 2025. They shared a picture of them kissing and Coco showed her engagement ring. Donovan also posted a video of the proposal. It happened at a pretty resort near water with palm trees behind them. In the video they walk by the pool and then he gets down on one knee. It was a simple and beautiful moment just like the kind of wedding she now dreams of.
