A lineup on Indian and international artists being headlined by
Coldplay will be a part of the first-ever
Global Citizen Festival
in India. According to the Global Citizen community, the passes to the concert featuring Coldplay will be free. Read a statement on their website, "Just like our annual festival in
Central Park
, tickets to the Indian Festival will be FREE. Fans will earn them through taking actions in support of education, equality, and sanitation campaigns."
Starting Monday, tickets to the Global Citizen Festival in India can be earned through the new platform by signing up to become a Global Citizen and completing the festival’s action campaigns at their website. The band will perform on November 19th at Mumbai’s MMRDA grounds.
The Global Citizen Festival in New York, meanwhile, will have artists including
Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Demi Lovato, Metallica,
Eddie Vedder, Usher
and Cat Stevens performing at Central Park in a similar free show.
