Fifty Shades of Grey: 5 reasons why you MUST watch the film

For the obvious - The first and the foremost reason why you HAVE to watch the film is the same as why you read the books! When everyone covered their faces with the black paperback cover of 'Fifty Shades of Grey' in the trains and buses, you were forced to get one for yourself. The book became one of the most talked about topics and for once the erotica genre was discussed on a public platform. The series not only replaced the good old Mills & Boons copies all of us had for decades, but upped the ante with much bolder content as well.

Book to film translation - While a lot of book lovers cringe at the mention of their favourite novels being made into films, we don't think this should stop anyone from watching 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. Although, the erotica series were very graphic, its translation into a major motion picture will probably have just a handful of naysayers. Obviously the book vs film debate and which medium is better will once again be open for discussion post the release of the film on February 13, 2015; but for an erotica that generated such a good response from the books itself, a visual medium is bound to set cash registers ringing. The elitists will anyway tear the film apart and discuss it to bits, while the masses don't need another reason to watch it.

Classier, bolder content- If you've read the books, you know what we're talking about. This erotica may have its seeds sown in a classic Mills & Boons setup of a rich industrialist falling in love with a beautiful, young girl; but 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is much more than that. The books have explicit content with a piping young love story as the backdrop. We aren't talking about just flashy cars, as the hero of the series roams around town in his private helicopter. The film has everything from story to style, from sex to sophistication and there's no way you want to miss this one.

Christian Grey - If you don't have already, one reason why you MUST go and watch the film 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is for one person- Christian Grey. The man on whom the book series is based is projected as the perfect fantasy man in the books with his Greek God looks, chiseled body and well, his rather eyebrow raising interests. To see the character from the book come alive onscreen would be a treat to watch. While actor Charlie Hunnam was cast in the role of Christian Grey initially alongside Dakota Johnson who plays the lead Anastasia Steele, he later opted out of the project. The role finally landed into actor Jamie Dornan's lap.

Hype - Well, if you aren't a fan of the books and don't intent on ever picking up one; we understand why you don't understand what the fuss is really about. Surely, the trailer seemed interesting but you don't get why 'Fifty Shades of Grey' is over hyped. If you fit into this category then go ahead and watch the movie for this reason alone. Directed by Sam Taylor Johnson, the film's trailer according to some is nothing but 'over hyped'. Right from the time of translating the book into a movie and till the casting, 'Fifty Shades Of Grey' has been in the news constantly. And now that the trailer has released, the hype around the film has gone up a notch higher. If you're one of those still looking for a reason to watch the film, just go with the flow and watch the movie for being a part of the crowd or for it simply being hyped.
