Details revealed on Zac Efron's freak pool accident and hospitalisauon

New details have emerged regarding Zac Efron's recent pool accident that led to his hospitalization in Ibiza, Spain. The 36-year-old actor was initially reported to have experienced a "minor swimming incident," but the situation was more serious than first understood.

According to TMZ, the actor was staying at a villa in Ibiza when he dove into the pool, hitting the bottom. On impact, the actor reportedly ingested a significant amount of water into his lungs, leading to signs of distress.

A source told the portal that Efron "ingested a large amount of water into his lungs". On seeing the actor in distress "onsite security helped him out of the water." Following the incident, the actor was described as "momentarily dazed" and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.



At the hospital, he underwent a chest X-ray to ensure there was no remaining water in his lungs. He was released shortly after but chose to stay at the hospital for a while to avoid photographers.

Sharing a health update with his fans, Zac, on Sunday, shared a health update on his Instagram Story. "Happy and healthy-thanks for the well wishes," he shared his photo lifting dumbbells in the sun.

A representative for Efron had previously said in a statement to People magazine that his hospitalisaion was only a precautionary measure.



On the work front, the actor most recently appeared in the Netflix romantic comedy 'A Family Affair' alongside Nicole Kidman and Joey King, he also starred in the biographical sports drama 'The Iron Claw' and the comedy 'Ricky Stanicky'.
