Young Werther: From trailer to release date, here's all you need to know about the Douglas Booth starrer

Joining the bandwagon is the upcoming film ‘Young Werther,’ which is based on Goethe’s classic novel ‘The Sorrows of Young Werther.’ Directed by José Lourenço, the trailer of the movie has been released, and it offers a glimpse into the complexities of unrequited love.

‘Young Werther’ is headlined by Douglas Booth. The actor is well known for his work in movies like ‘That Dirty Black Bag’ and ‘Unwelcome.’ Coming to his character, he will be seen playing a young man deeply in love with Charlotte, played by Alison Pill. On the one hand, while Booth’s character is head over heels in love with Charlotte, she is already engaged to another man, portrayed by Patrick J. Adams. Thus, in the story Booth’s character navigates his feelings. As it gradually moves ahead, it shows his attempts to win over Charlotte despite all odds.
