As the Christian customary, Meghan’s father was to walk her down the aisle on her D-day. However, as per latest reports in an international magazine, Thomas has now dropped out of the wedding. The reason for opting out of the royal wedding as stated by Thomas was that he suffered from a heart attack, a week ago.

With just a few days to go for the grand royal wedding of American TV star Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the entire world is waiting to witness the royal union. Soon-to-be Duchess Meghan Markle has been consistently grabbing headlines for her royal duties and her new role post marriage. Meghan will be walking down the aisle on May 19th at the Windsor Castle.
The American TV actress’ family has been in the news for their controversial statements about the bride-to-be.

A few days ago, it was reported that Meghan’s father Thomas Markle and mother Doria Ragland, who divorced three decades ago, will arrive in Britain, a week before the royal wedding to "spend time" with Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip.

The reason for opting out of the royal wedding as stated by Thomas was that he suffered from a heart attack, a week ago. Reports further cited that Thomas was planning on getting out of the hospital and attending his daughter's wedding but then backed out as it was revealed that he had been involved in staged paparazzi photoshoots.
Meghan's step-sister Samantha Markle who has been grabbing headlines for her distasteful statements against the royal wedding admitted to arranging the photoshoot but defended her dad and said that there’s a lot of scrutiny that it was money motivated, it was not.
Regarding Meghan's father opting out of the wedding, Kensington Palace issued a statement which read as, "This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding. She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation."
