The American TV actress’ family has been in the

news

for their controversial statements about the bride-to-be. A few days ago, it was reported that Meghan’s father Thomas Markle and mother Doria Ragland, who divorced three decades ago, will arrive in Britain, a week before the royal wedding to "spend time" with Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip.

As the Christian customary, Meghan’s father was to walk her down the aisle on her D-day. However, as per latest reports in an international magazine, Thomas has now dropped out of the wedding. The reason for opting out of the royal wedding as stated by Thomas was that he suffered from a heart attack, a week ago. Reports further cited that Thomas was planning on getting out of the hospital and attending his daughter's wedding but then backed out as it was revealed that he had been involved in staged paparazzi photoshoots.

Meghan's step-sister Samantha Markle who has been grabbing headlines for her distasteful statements against the royal wedding admitted to arranging the photoshoot but defended her dad and said that there’s a lot of scrutiny that it was money motivated, it was not.
