‘Avengers: Endgame’ actor,
Josh Brolin has apologised after receiving flak for breaking lockdown rules and visiting his father,
James, and stepmother,
Barbra Streisand in California.
In a now deleted social media post, Brolin shared a photograph of himself wearing a mask as his family, including his wife Kathryn and one-year-old daughter, spent a sunny day out around the pool. His caption on the picture read, “There’s nothing like a good meeting up with family when all you can hear is a distant muffling of what used to be called words.”
However, on receiving a lot of flak for disobeying lockdown rules, Brolin subsequently released a video apology and reacted to the criticism that came his way.
While saying he was “humbled” by all the messages that came his way, he eveand added: “My father lives next door to us, and we had a plan to go see them and not be near them and that plan was broken and that’s our responsibility … I think it was irresponsible.”
"You know, it's hard to be honest sometimes," he continued. "It's hard to be honest and say, 'Maybe I screwed up,' and I knew that that was in the air, not because of the responses, but the responses brought me back to my own truth and it's humbling as hell, man."
Josh went on to say, "Because I know there's some people out there that (have) no masks, no gloves, no interest in it. They think it's in your head, that you'll survive because of immunity that's created from your own psychic weight."
"But I know for me that's not the case, we've been very responsible and I apologise about that,” he said in his video addressal.
