Golding's iconic novel 'Lord of the Flies' for the big screen.

and David Siegel will write and direct the project, which follows a group of young boarding school students that end up stranded on an island. However, there is one major twist in the movie adaptation: the students stranded on a remote island will be girls.
"We want to do a very faithful but contemporized adaptation of the book, but our idea was to do it with all girls rather than boys."
"It is a timeless story that is especially relevant today, with the interpersonal conflicts and bullying, and the idea of children forming a society and replicating the behavior they saw in grownups before they were marooned," Siegel said. The book was most famously turned into a film in 1963 by
