LONDON: The much-trumpeted Bollywood show ''From India with Love'' featuring an array of tinsel town glitterati, including megastars Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, in the UK have been postponed owing to the current tension between India and Pakistan.
Besides, Amitabh and Aamir, leading Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Preity Zinta were to come on the stage for the first time at the two shows in Manchester''s Old Trafford Football Stadium on June 29 and London''s Hyde Park on June 30.

"The escalating tension and the resulting withdrawal from India of virtually all UK embassy staff means that the promoters no longer have the assurance that over 100 performers will receive visas in time to travel to the UK for the shows," the organisers have said.
The British government is also strongly advising against any travel to the Indian sub-continent, which has prevented the promoters from sending their production team to India to participate in rehearsals of the shows.
"The promoters have had to take this difficult decision now rather than risk a last minute postponement and the disappointment that would cause to the tens of thousands of fans expected to attend the shows," the organisers said.
The Hyde Park show was to raise about 250,000 pounds for Britain''s leading youth charity, the Prince''s Trust.
